How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Operations Manager-Food Production

    Maidenhead, Berkshire

    £70-75K plus bonus plus benefits plus 25 days leave

    Mon-Fri , Days based but with some flexibility required

    Are you an experienced Operations Manager from a food manufacturing background look for an exciting, challenging and varied role for one of the UK's leading Food Manufacturing Companies.

    This is an opportunity to make a real difference and to share in the passion of the senior management vision to improve a large (200+ staff) site

    This position will focus on managing a cross functional team of circa 140 staff. This will include directly managing the Product, Technical, Engineering, Planning and H & S managers.

    Additionally you would work closely with the CI Manager on a number of site improvement projects.

    It would suit someone who is dynamic and decisive, and who is ready to at times challenge the status quo, but who can do it in the right manner and take teams with them when implementing change.

    The Role:

    Permanent full time position within food manufacturing production
    Manage a cross functional team across engineering, technical and production.
    Lead and oversee site improvement projects , including line management of the CI Manager.

    The Person:

    Significant experience as a Operations or Site Manager for a sizeable (100+ staff) food manufacturing business
    Excellent line management experience including 2nd line management
    Experience of improvement projects within food
