How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are looking for a OT Engineer for a consultancy to work in Warwickshire (3 days onsite per week) on a 6 month initial contract.

    Location: Warwick (minimum 3 days per week on-site)
    Day Rate: £400–£450 Inside IR35

    Role Overview

    We are seeking a Senior OT Engineer with strong SQL scripting capabilities to support the National Grid SCADA transition programme. The role sits within a multi‑disciplined engineering team working alongside several National Grid partners. The successful candidate will contribute to the development, transition, and optimisation of operational technology systems within a critical national infrastructure environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Support OT engineering activities within the SCADA transition programme

    * Develop, maintain, and optimise SQL scripts and related data processes

    * Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams and external partners

    * Contribute to system transition planning, testing, and implementation

    * Ensure engineering outputs meet required standards and programme timelines

    Required Skills & Experience

    * Strong Operational Technology (OT) engineering background

    * SQL scripting expertise (essential)

    * Experience working in structured engineering environments

    * Ability to operate effectively within multi‑partner project teams

    * Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills

    * Knowledge of electrical systems or SCADA environments

    * Experience within utilities, energy, or critical infrastructure sectors

    Additional Information

    * The role is based in Warwick with a requirement to be on‑site at least three days per week

    * Day rate is inclusive of all standard working hours; overtime and travel time are not included

    * Travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with company policy
