How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

    The Role:

    So, what will you be doing as an Electrical Design Engineer:

    Design and develop advanced electrical schematics, ensuring accuracy and functionality.
    Analyse and optimise electrical systems for maximum performance, efficiency, and reliability.
    Define detailed system requirements to guide exceptional design outcomes.
    Produce and maintain precise documentation of schematics and electrical layouts.
    Select optimal cables and protective devices to guarantee safety and compliance.
    Advise on and review electrical component choices to support successful project delivery.
    Collaborate closely with engineering and project teams to achieve high-quality results.
    Contribute to a wide range of engineering tasks, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
    Actively participate in internal and external meetings, offering technical insight and expertise.
    Maintain organised, thorough documentation in line with local operating procedures.What are we looking for in our next Electrical Design Engineer?

    HNC (or higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
    Strong team player with collaborative work ethic.
    Proven experience specifying electrical components with a detail-oriented approach.
    Solid knowledge of relevant electrical standards.
    Proficiency in MS Office.
    Quick learner with adaptable engineering skills to address varied design challenges.
    Experience in schematic capture and drawing review.
    Knowledge of electronics to support innovation and problem-solving.
    Experience in electrical system design for complex, high-stakes projects.
