Job Title: Operations Manager – Plant Hire
Location: Solihull (site-based role)
Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum + performance-related bonus (up to 30%) + car + benefits
Role: Permanent – Full time

Overview
We are recruiting for an Operations Manager to lead a highly profitable, specialist plant hire business at a pivotal point in its journey.
This is a hands-on, senior leadership role where the incoming Operations Manager will take full operational and commercial responsibility for a multi-million pound turnover business with strong margins, a tight operational footprint and significant headroom for future growth.
The role suits an Operations Manager who thrives on ownership, enjoys shaping culture, making decisions, and putting their stamp on a business. You do not need to come from plant hire; this opportunity is about leadership, commerciality and execution, not just sector background.

Ideal Candidate
· Proven Operations Manager or Senior Operations Leader with full P&L responsibility
· Commercially sharp, data-led and comfortable making tough decisions
· Strong people leader who can performance manage, engage and reset standards
· Experience leading change, simplification or turnaround environments
· Confident operating autonomously with senior stakeholder exposure

Operations Manager – Key Responsibilities
· Full operational and commercial leadership of the business, including P&L ownership
· Drive performance, utilisation, margin and EBITDA through disciplined execution
· Lead, develop and reshape the management team as required
· Set a clear direction, culture and operating rhythm for the business
· Act as the senior figure on site, working closely with finance and wider group stakeholders
