How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Graduate to Assistant Building Surveyor | Central London (Oxford Circus)
    Commercial Focus | APC Support | Fast-Growing Consultancy

    Are you a Graduate or Assistant Building Surveyor looking to kick-start your career in a fresh, ambitious consultancy environment in the heart of Central London?

    This is a rare opportunity to join a newly established but rapidly growing building consultancy, founded by highly experienced industry professionals with a strong track record across the commercial property sector. You’ll gain hands-on exposure from day one, working closely with senior surveyors in a business that prides itself on delivering clear, pragmatic and commercially focused advice.

    Why you’ll love it here

    This is not your typical graduate role. You’ll be joining a young, energetic and forward-thinking team where your development is genuinely prioritised, and your voice is heard.

    * Be part of a newly established consultancy with strong growth plans and real momentum

    * Work directly alongside directors and senior surveyors from day one (no layers, no red tape)

    * Gain exposure to a wide range of commercial instructions across multiple sectors

    About the role

    As a Graduate / Assistant Building Surveyor, you’ll support the delivery of a broad range of professional and project-led services across commercial property.

    You’ll be involved in key areas such as technical due diligence, dilapidations, contract administration and general building surveying advice, developing a well-rounded skillset in a highly commercial environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Assist in delivering core Building Surveying services including dilapidations, TDD and schedules of condition

    * Support Contract Administration on a range of commercial projects

    * Contribute to building inspections, reports and client advice

    * Support in developing client relationships and delivering high-quality service

    About you, as the successful Graduate / Assistant Building Surveyor

    * Degree educated (BSc or MSc) in Building Surveying

    * Ideally 1+ years’ experience within a consultancy environment

    * Strong interest in commercial property and professional services

    * Ambitious, proactive and eager to learn within a fast-paced environment

    * Keen to progress through your APC with structured support

    Benefits & Initiatives 🔑

    * Up to £35,000

    * Full APC support with direct mentorship from senior surveyors

    * Exposure to high-quality commercial work early in your career

    * Hybrid working

    * Company pension scheme

    * Clear progression pathway within a growing business

    * Lots of social events and networking

    If you are a Graduate or Assistant Building Surveyor and would like to find out more, please get in touch for a confidential discussion.
