How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Do you want to join a business that are designing and producing the future? Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer that has a background in preventative and reactive maintenance within a medium sized business?

    About the role:

    Your primary focus within the role is to ensure the reliability, safe and efficient operations of all production equipment that includes CNC machinery and facility infrastructure. You’ll support continuous production across the site by conducting all maintenance activities, troubleshooting machine faults and implement improvements that will enable minimising downtime across the shop floor.

    Specific duties will include:

    * Carry out corrective maintenance, part replacement and adjustments to maintain precision and repeatability.

    * Monitor machine performance, patterns and breakdown trends to minimise downtime.

    * Support with process projects, machine upgrades and tooling improvements

    * Work closely with production to identify root causes of recurring issues and implement corrective actions

    * Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs and track spare parts.

    * Manage contractors when on site and ensure that RAM’s are in place.

    * Carry out weekly fire alarm checks

    Desirables of the successful Maintenance Engineer:

    * Experience of working within a precision engineering, machining or similar manufacturing environment.

    * Experience with CNC machinery

    * Experience in TPM, lean manufacturing or continuous improvement activities.

    In return you will work a standard day shift pattern with an early finish on Fridays (2:30pm). A starting salary of £40,000+ DOE, Company pension 5%, Health care plan and additional company benefits.
