How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior High Voltage Technician
    Salary: £30,000
    Location: On-site - Bridgnorth
    Contract: Full Time | Permanent

    Overview
    We are seeking an experienced Test & Repair Technician to join a specialist electronics manufacturing environment.

    This role involves the assembly, testing and repair of high voltage power supply units and PCB systems. You will play a key role in ensuring product quality, supporting production processes and maintaining high technical standards.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Interpret circuit diagrams and technical drawings to assemble PCBs and high voltage power supply units
    Carry out intricate surface mount (SMT) remedial work
    Support the production of moulds as part of the manufacturing process
    Test completed units to ensure functionality and quality standards are met
    Diagnose and repair faulty or returned units
    Prepare and package finished products for shipment
    Maintain accurate records of manufacturing and testing history
    Ensure high standards of housekeeping within the work environment Additional Responsibilities:
    Take responsibility for the quality and integrity of your own work
    Carry out final inspections to ensure products meet required standards
    Provide support to the Production Manager when required, including:
    Ordering supplies
    Coordinating transport/logistics Experience & Qualifications:
    Minimum of 2 years’ practical experience within the electronics industry
    Experience working with PCBs and electronic assembly
    Understanding of circuit diagrams and technical drawings
    Formal qualifications in electronics are desirable but not essential Skills & Attributes:
    Strong attention to detail
    Ability to work accurately under pressure
    Good communication and interpersonal skills
    Ability to mentor and support junior team members
