Overview:
 
A large organisation are currently seeking a Procurement Category Manager to join their team to manage the procurement of indirect goods.

Role & Responsibilities:

Lead strategic category management for indirect goods and services, aligning category plans to organisational objectives.
Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and contract implementation.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to drive value for money and commercial best practice.
Deliver spend optimisation initiatives, savings targets, and continuous improvement across assigned categories.
Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and risk mitigation to ensure effective contract delivery.
Ensure procurement activity is compliant with policies, governance requirements, and best practice procedures. 
Essential Skills & Experience:

2+ years’ experience within a category manager position in the private sector
Great negotiation skills
Experience procuring indirect goods
Experience implementing category plans
An excellent communicator
Hard-working and ambitious
A team player who thrives when working with others towards shared goals
