How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you a driven Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a role where you can make a real impact in your local area?

An established and respected contractor is seeking a commercially astute professional to support the delivery of multiple framework projects in Doncaster, working closely with the local authority on schemes valued up to £1m.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a hands-on, site-based role, where you’ll have real influence over project performance, client relationships, and team development—while contributing to meaningful community infrastructure.

    What You’ll Be Doing
Leading commercial activities across the full project lifecycle, from procurement to final account
Managing subcontract packages, tender evaluations, and contract administration
Driving cost control, forecasting, and detailed financial reporting
Maximising cash flow through accurate valuations and timely invoicing
Monitoring project performance to meet—and exceed—financial targets
Identifying and managing risks, opportunities, and change control processes
Ensuring contractual compliance and maintaining robust project records
Supporting sustainability and carbon reduction objectives
Mentoring and developing junior team members

    What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts, procurement, and commercial reporting
Ideally degree qualified with 6+ years’ experience
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work closely with delivery teams in a site-based environment
Experience within highways or civil engineering projects is highly desirable

    Why Apply?
Work on local projects that directly benefit the Doncaster community
Join a stable and growing business with a strong pipeline of framework work
Take on a visible, influential role with real autonomy
Excellent salary, benefits, and long-term career prospects

If you’re looking for a role where you can combine commercial expertise with meaningful project delivery this is a great next step
