We are working on behalf of a well-established and growing main contractor to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of new build projects, ranging from care homes and specialised accommodation through to residential and student accommodation schemes.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of projects from inception through to final account, managing all commercial aspects and ensuring successful financial delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
* Full commercial management of projects (£8m–£12m in value)
* Procurement and subcontractor management
* Cost planning, forecasting, and reporting
* Managing variations and final accounts
* Working closely with operational teams to drive project success
About You
We are looking for a confident, ambitious, and commercially astute individual who can manage long-term projects with minimal supervision.
You will ideally have:
* Proven experience within a main contracting environment
* Strong background in new build construction projects
* Experience across sectors such as residential, care, or accommodation
* The ability to manage projects end-to-end commercially
* A proactive and professional approach
Location
While a Worcestershire / South Midlands base would be ideal, this is not essential. Projects are located across:
* East Midlands
* West Midlands
* Bristol
* Gloucestershire
