How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Lead, support, and mentor a team of Maintenance Fitters in day‑to‑day maintenance activities.
Champion a preventative maintenance approach, ensuring proactive servicing and inspections.
Be a visible, hands-on presence on the shop floor – assisting with fault finding, repairs, and machinery installation.
Plan and oversee weekly maintenance schedules in coordination with production.
Support the planning and delivery of site shutdowns, statutory inspections, and compliance activities.
Work closely with the Maintenance Coordinator to align materials, tools, resources, and manpower.
Manage and supervise contractors, ensuring safe working practices and compliance.
Collaborate with the Engineering Manager on reliability and continuous improvement projects.
Monitor and report on maintenance KPIs, ensuring performance targets are achieved.
Promote strong Health, Safety & Environmental (SHE) standards across all maintenance work.
Contribute to effective budget management through efficient resource and stores usage.
Build strong working relationships across production, technical, and engineering teams.

    ✅ About You

Proven experience in a maintenance leadership or supervisory role—ideally in manufacturing or industrial operations.
Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance background with hands-on capability.
Experience managing and developing team members, overseeing workloads, and setting performance standards.
Passionate about preventative maintenance and driving proactive ways of working.
Relevant engineering qualifications; understanding of compliance standards and maintenance systems.
Solid knowledge of HSE practices, risk assessments, and permit-to-work processes (IOSH Managing Safely preferred).
Works with a continuous improvement mindset—able to spot inefficiencies and implement practical solutions.
