Primary Tutor - Sittingbourne

Part-Time (4 hours + extra hour for planning every 5 hours) - £27 per hour - Post Easter Start -temp till end of July (could extend beyond)

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a Primary Tutor to work with children in Sittingbourne, currently out of education and requiring tuition in the home. We are working with a range of needs including children with SEN needs including: ASD, ADHD, ODD, SEMH, Speech and Language, and Behaviour Needs.

These roles are available until the child receiving tuition is given a place in a specialist provision. The tuition will take place typically in the home of the child with adult supervision, unless an agreed and suitable neutral location is suggested.

An applicant must be able to drive or at least be flexible and happy to travel via public transport and is perfect for a Teacher looking for flexibility, or a retired Primary Teacher interesting in offering their expertise as a Primary Tutor.

The Role

Planning and delivering the Primary Curriculum.
Responsibility for ensuring the child receiving tuition is appropriately engaged and making progress, in whatever guise that looks like.
Communicating with the agency and parent/carer effectively.
Working with children with SEN.

Requirements

Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
Experience as a Primary Tutor, or a Primary Teacher in KS1 would be highly desirable but not essential.
Hold an enhanced DBS (DBS on the update service is highly desirable)
Have right to work in the UK
Must have right to work in the UK
