Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate a small team of cable pullers within a Supervisor/Chargehand's squad
Break down daily work packs into clear, actionable tasks
Ensure correct cable routing, sequencing, segregation, separation, and bend radius
Interpret and work from shipbuilding cable drawings and schematics
Follow cable routes, nodes, and installation plans accurately
Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and productivity on site
Act as the link between Supervisors/Chargehands and the workforce
Provide technical guidance and oversight to the teamRequirements
Proven experience as a Cable Ganger, Lead Cable Puller, or Electrical Team Leader
Strong background in cable installation, pulling, and routing
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and cable schematics
Experience within shipbuilding, marine, offshore, or heavy industrial environments
Good understanding of:
Cable containment systems
Bend radius requirements
Cable segregation and installation standards
Strong leadership and communication skillsDesirable
Previous experience in defence or MOD projects
Relevant electrical or engineering qualifications
Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or shipyard projects
Salary description
£23.46 - £34.32 per hour
