Responsibilities
• Operate HGV Class 2 lorries, specialising in Roll-On Roll-Off (RORO) operations, with a focus on safety and efficiency
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards
• Safely load, secure, and unload containers using appropriate equipment
• Navigate routes effectively, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations
• Assist with the manoeuvring of containers on-site, ensuring proper placement and securing during transit
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle logs, and any incidents or issues encountered during shifts
• Comply with all health and safety policies, including the use of PPE and adherence to environmental guidelines
Requirements
• Valid HGV Class 2 licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Prior experience operating Roll-On Roll-Off vehicles is essential
• Good understanding of road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance procedures
• Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading containers safely
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
