How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Tradewind are recruiting! Are you looking for you next role teaching History & Politics in a great school located in Redbridge?

    Tradewind Recruitment are supporting this Client, a successful Roman Catholic secondary school in Redbridge, in recruiting a Teacher of History and Politics. This is a full-time role beginning in September 2026 on a 1-year fixed contract.

    Ofsted inspectors praised this Client for its strong leadership, respectful school environment and ambitious curriculum. Students are motivated learners who respond well to the high expectations set by staff.

    The successful candidate will teach History at KS3 and KS4 and contribute to the delivery of Politics within the humanities department. The role will involve planning engaging lessons, assessing student progress and supporting students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills.

    The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status and have strong subject knowledge in History and Politics. Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4 is essential. The school is looking for a teacher who can inspire students and contribute positively to the humanities department.

    The school is located in Redbridge with good transport links including nearby Underground stations such as Gants Hill and Ilford rail station providing easy access from across East London.

    Salary: London MPS/UPS.
