Electrical Design Engineer

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in bringing custom-engineered automation solutions to life. From initial concept through to final delivery, you will be responsible for developing robust, compliant, and cost-effective electrical designs tailored to each client’s unique requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop detailed electrical systems for bespoke machinery and automation projects
* Produce circuit diagrams and electrical layouts using CAD software
* Ensure all designs meet relevant standards, safety requirements, and best practices
* Manage projects through the full lifecycle, from concept and design to implementation and delivery
* Interpret and qualify customer technical requirements to develop optimal solutions
* Provide technical support to customers via telephone and remote assistance
* Prepare clear and professional technical reports, documentation, and specifications
* Contribute to design for manufacture, cost efficiency, and standardisation initiatives
Experience required:
* HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
* 3–5 years’ experience in an electrical design engineering role
* Strong understanding of design for manufacture, cost control, and standardisation
* Proficiency with electrical CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical desirable)
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
