Assistant Accountant

CMA Recruitment group is exclusively partnering with our Christchurch, Dorset client who is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their busy finance team. As Assistant Accountant you will be supporting the Financial Accountant in production of statutory accounts for multiple entities and preparation of year end accounts.

What will the Assistant Accountant role involve?

Supporting the preparation of consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS and UK GAAP standards, helping to maintain group-wide compliance
Assisting with the production of statutory accounts for various subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Reconciliation of complex financial data and management of intercompany transactions to support group reporting
Playing a key role in fund accounting activities and supporting tax compliance across entities
Collaborating with multiple teams to produce insightful financial reports and undertake audits, all while gaining practical experience in group finance and statutory reporting
Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy:

Strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent organisational skills
Proficiency in Excel and experience handling reconciliations and financial data analysis
Part-qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA or experienced AAT accountant, or qualified by experience, looking to progress into group accounting roles
Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to develop within a supportive finance environment
