How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    EC&I Maintenance Engineer (3 Shift Pattern)

    Site based role commutable from Winsford, Northwich, Middlewich, Crewe, Sandbach, and Chester

    £49,405 - £51,108 + INDUSTRY LEADING PENSION up to 20% + 3 shift pattern (Early, Days and Nights) + Monday to Friday + Overtime paid at 1.5x and 2x (weekends/nights) + 26 Days Holiday + Private Healthcare + Life Insurance + Progression

    You will work within a highly skilled engineering team carrying out fault finding, maintenance and calibration across a range of control systems, instrumentation and electrical equipment critical to production. Alongside your core EC&I duties, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of industrial systems, allowing you to broaden your technical capability and future proof your career.

    With regular overtime paid at enhanced rates of 1.5x and 2x, engineers have strong opportunities to significantly increase annual earnings on top of an already competitive basic salary.

    This role suits an EC&I Engineer from heavy industry or manufacturing who wants secure long term employment, strong earning potential and the opportunity to further develop within a technically advanced environment.

    The Role:
    * EC&I maintenance within underground mining environments
    * Reactive and planned maintenance on control systems and mining equipment
    * Working on PLCs, instrumentation, drives, conveyors, crushers, and heavy plant equipment
    * Fault finding on electrical, control and instrumentation systems
    * 3-week early shift (6am-2pm) + 2-week late shift (Mon-Thu 1pm-9pm, Fri 9:30am-5:30pm) + 1-week nights (8pm-6am)

    The Person:
    * EC&I Engineer (Electrical, Control & Instrumentation)
    * Background in mining, heavy plant, manufacturing, or industrial environments
    * Experience with PLCs, instrumentation and industrial control systems
    * Comfortable working underground
