How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    4on 4off days
    £52,000 + overtime

    The Opportunity
    We're working with a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing business that prides itself on quality, innovation, and investing in its people.
    They are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support their highly automated warehouse and conveyor systems. This is a key role within the engineering team, focused on maximising uptime, improving system reliability, and supporting continuous improvement across site.

    Key Responsibilities

    Diagnose faults and carry out effective remedial actions
    Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across automated systems
    Support and improve automated warehouse and conveyor operations
    Identify and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency
    Work closely with production and logistics teams to improve OEE
    Attend and contribute to performance improvement meetings
    Complete detailed maintenance and breakdown reports
    Manage spare parts usage and bookings
    Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
    What We're Looking For

    Recognised electrical apprenticeship (ONC/HNC or equivalent)
    Strong electrical bias with experience in:
    PLCs
    Control systems
    Relays, contactors, and safety circuits
    Solid mechanical knowledge
    Experience working within automated environments
    Preferably a background in food manufacturing
