The Role
Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join a service in Berkshire working with a paediatric caseload of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This is a great opportunity to support children with communication and social interaction needs, with sponsorship offered.
Details
The role involves working with children with ASD, focusing on speech, language, and communication development. You will provide assessment and intervention to support engagement, social interaction, and access to learning, working closely with families and the multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Manage a paediatric caseload of children with ASD
- Complete speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and the multidisciplinary team
- Provide strategies to support communication and social interaction
- Maintain accurate clinical records and reports
Requirements
- HCPC registration
- Experience working within paediatric speech and language therapy, ideally with ASD
- Knowledge of communication needs and autism spectrum conditions
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and organisational skills
