About the Role
The HRIS Co‑Ordinator plays a critical role in supporting the smooth, compliant, and effective operation of the Human Resources function at Mettis. Acting as a central point of coordination for our HRIS system (Dayforce), employee lifecycle administration, the role is key to delivering an excellent employee experience across the business.
The postholder will be on site and be the key user and administrator of the Dayforce HRIS, ensuring data accuracy, system integrity, and effective use of HR technology to support operational and strategic HR activity. This is a hands‑on, detail‑driven role requiring organisation, technical capability, and a people‑focused approach.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working at pace in a manufacturing environment, able to manage confidential information with discretion, and eager to develop within the HR profession.
As a condition of employment, successful candidates are required to satisfy ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance and must fulfil the following before commencing this role:
i. Currently hold the legal Right to Work in the UK
ii. Fulfil a DBS clearance
iii. Provide a consistent 5‑year UK domicile
iv. Pass Drugs & Alcohol screening at the start of their Mettis employment
Key Responsibilities
Predominately 80% of this role is focused around HRIS administration, coordination, maintenance, development, optimisation and reporting as follows:
HRIS Administration & Data Integrity
Act as the primary administrator for Dayforce, maintaining employee records, organisational structures, and workflows.
Ensure data accuracy through regular audits and quality checks.
Manage user access, permissions, and system security.
Process employee lifecycle changes (new hires, promotions, transfers, leavers).
System Optimisation & Support
Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes using system functionality.
Support configuration changes, upgrades, and new module rollouts.
Test new features and enhancements before deployment.
Troubleshoot system issues and work with HR, Payroll, IT, and vendor support to resolve them.
Reporting & Analytics
Build and maintain HR dashboards and standard reports.
Provide workforce insights (headcount, turnover, compliance metrics).
Respond to ad‑hoc reporting requests with clear, accurate data.
User Support & Training
Provide day‑to‑day support to employees and managers on system navigation and queries.
Develop and deliver training materials for new features or processes.
Promote effective use of self‑service tools.
Other aspects of the role may include the below, supporting HR Business Partners:
Employee Lifecycle & HR Operations
Prepare offer letters, contracts, and onboarding documentation.
Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a smooth new‑starter experience.
Support offboarding processes, including documentation and system updates.
Manage HR inboxes and respond to employee queries in a timely manner.
Provide accurate data to payroll (absences, overtime, changes).
Compliance & Governance
Ensure HRIS and HR processes comply with data protection regulations and internal policies.
Support internal and external audits with accurate data and documentation.
Maintain up‑to‑date process documentation, workflows, and SOPs.
Assist in updating HR policies and employee handbooks.
Benefits & Absence Administration
Maintain absence records and support return‑to‑work processes
Administer benefits enrolment, changes, and queries
Liaise with providers (pension, healthcare, etc.)
Document & Process Management
Maintain HR document templates and ensure version control
Support continuous improvement of HR processes and SOPs
Employee Relations Administration
Minute‑taking in formal meetings (investigations, hearings)
Preparing letters and documentation for ER processes
Tracking case timelines and ensuring documentation is filed correctly
People Operations Support
Support HR projects (engagement surveys, policy updates, audits)
Assist with cyclical processes (performance reviews, pay reviews)
Maintain HR calendars and reminders for key activities
Person Specification:
Essential Experience
Experience in an HR administration, HR coordination, or People Operations role.
Hands‑on use of an HRIS (Dayforce).
Understanding of employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, changes, offboarding).
Proven ability to maintain accurate employee data and support payroll inputs.
Experience handling confidential information in line with GDPR and data protection standards.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with high‑volume administrative tasks

Location: Redditch, Worcestershire (on site, 5 days p/w)
Working pattern: Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30 & Friday: 07:30 – 12:30
