How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Role Profile

    Reports to: Sales Manager

    Location: Glasgow, office based

    Frequent trips to France would be expected

    Salary: Dependent on experience

    Hours: 45 hours per week (8.30am to 6.00pm)

    Role Overview

    We are looking for an experienced and well-organised Sales Representative for France to grow sales in the market by targeting new/key accounts and provide the necessary support to the field sales agents, who are based both here in Scotland and in France. The successful candidate will become the point of contact for colleagues and customers alike, by keeping schedules and providing feedback, documentation and information.

    The goal is to facilitate the team’s activities, to maximise their performance, and the solid and long-lasting development of the company.

    • Are you customer focused with fluent French and English language skills, both verbal and written?
    • Do you have previous successful experience in a business-to-business sales role?
    • Are you able to demonstrate a successful track record within a competitive sales environment?
    • Are you a dynamic and self-starting individual who can target key accounts and generate new business?
    • Are you self-driven with a ‘can do’ attitude?
    • Are you a self-starter who is able to use initiative to run projects and tasks on their own without direct supervision?
    • Are you proficient with Technology with a high level of IT literacy?
    • Are you positive, organised, proactive with excellent problem-solving skills?
    • Are you motivated with a willingness to further develop knowledge and experience?



    What does a typical day sound like?

    • You will be responsible for generating new business and prospects.
    • You will be responsible for maintaining existing accounts.
    • You will ensure customer retention and be responsible for building strong relationships.
    • You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining customer records
    • You will support senior management by completing orders and keeping customers informed of delays and delivery dates
    • You will dispatch orders, including preparation of any necessary export paperwork
    • You will be responsible for handling all customer and agent queries
    • You will monitor and organise inventory while effectively tracking new services and products for sale
    • You will contribute to overall customer satisfaction by promptly answering emails and handling orders by phone
    • You will maintain organised sales records and report month-end goal setting to the senior management team



    Requirements

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Fluency in French.
    • Experience in a similar role.
