How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    HR Business Partner

    SEC, Glasgow | Site-based with some hybrid working


    We are supporting SEC, Glasgow to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner to work closely with senior leaders across the organisation.


    This is a varied, visible role within a busy and fast-paced environment. The successful individual will act as a trusted advisor to leaders, helping to translate people strategy into practical, day-to-day solutions that support performance, engagement, and organisational effectiveness.


    You will play a key role in supporting leaders through change, managing complex people matters, and strengthening capability across teams. The role offers genuine breadth across employee relations, organisational development, and leadership support.


    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Partnering with senior leaders to deliver pragmatic, commercially sound people solutions
    • Leading and advising on complex employee relations cases
    • Supporting organisational change, restructures, and transformation initiatives
    • Coaching managers to build confidence and capability in managing people issues
    • Using data and insight to inform workforce planning and decision-making
    • Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of people policies and practices


    We are particularly interested in individuals who:

    • Bring strong generalist HR experience at Business Partner or Senior Advisor level
    • Have a solid grounding in employment law and employee relations
    • Are comfortable operating in a fast-moving, operational environment
    • Can build credible relationships with stakeholders at all levels
    • Take a practical, balanced approach to problem-solving
