How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you an experienced Test Rig/Calibration Engineer looking for a new challenge? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Trescal.

    About the RoleJoining our team as an on-site Test Rig Engineer, you will be responsible for calibrating measuring instrumentation used in Customer Production Test Rigs areas in accordance with Company Procedures, recognised specifications and other set standards. You will maintain relevant records of work, data and results in a traceable and auditable manner utilising Trescal management systems.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    •Perform calibration of customer equipment using approved procedures and good Metrology practice calibrating electrical, temperature, load, force, flow and pressure measuring instrumentation to traceable and accredited standards.

    •Ensure all certificates and records are completed accurately; check completion dates and worksheet instructions to ensure work is completed on time.

    •Produce and audit calibration procedures for use within the Laboratory for customer calibration.

    •Develop measurement uncertainty budgets for customer calibrations.

    •Occasionally you may be required to perform other tasks which are not included in the above description but are within the capabilities of the individual and where necessary training will be given.

    Requirements

    •Have an electrical diagnostic background with knowledge and understanding of hydraulic and mechanical principles.

    •Formal qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or extensive demonstrable experience in and understanding calibration, both practical and theory.

    •Previous experience in Jig/Tool recertification would be beneficial.

    •Excellent reporting and communication skills.
