How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    RF Test Engineer – Rickmansworth

    My client is an established engineering company specialising in RF and satellite communications, designing and manufacturing critical hardware used within global communications infrastructure. Their products are used in high-performance and demanding environments across commercial and defence sectors.

    They are looking for an RF Test Engineer to support their RF Design team, working on the testing, development, and validation of RF products from concept through to production.

    What you will do – RF Test Engineer – Rickmansworth

    * Support the development and validation of RF products

    * Test, tune, and modify RF PCBs and assemblies

    * Carry out RF measurements using lab equipment (VNA, spectrum analyser, oscilloscope)

    * Assist with prototype builds, including boards, modules, and chassis

    * Set up and run RF test procedures in a lab environment

    * Support the maintenance and organisation of the RF lab

    * Assist with calibration and upkeep of test equipment

    * Work closely with RF Design Engineers on new product development

    * Document test results and support continuous improvement

    What we are looking for – RF Test Engineer – Rickmansworth

    * Degree or equivalent in Electronics, RF Engineering, or similar

    * Experience in RF testing or electronics lab environments

    * Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyser, oscilloscope)

    * Understanding of PCB testing, rework, or assembly

    * Ability to follow test procedures and document results accurately

    * Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills

    * Comfortable working in a hands-on, lab-based role

    Desirable – RF Test Engineer – Rickmansworth

    * Experience with microwave or RF systems

    * Exposure to RF design or development environments

    * Experience with Python or LabVIEW for test automation

    * Knowledge of IPC standards for PCB rework

    * Experience supporting new product development or validation

    Salary: £35,000–£38,000
    Location: Rickmansworth (onsite)
