How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    CSWIP Welder & Trainer 
    Daventry
    Salary DOE (Negotiable)
    Monday – Friday 7am – 5:15pm (1pm finish on a Friday)

    We are looking for an experienced welder & trainer to join a well-established & growing team in Daventry. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance and expertise in the field of welding and fabrication, to meet the requirements of international standards and customer specifications.

    This will be a hybrid role, being able to weld is essential, you will responsible for welding as well as inspecting, and training and developing the team and new starters. They successful candidate will need to be CSWIP certified.

    Key Duties:

    Designing and writing of welding procedures and maintenance of records
    Provide technical guidance and expertise to internal departments on weld procedures
    Analyse high rate of weld repairs and give guidance for improvement to reduce wastage
    Responsible for total weld quality throughout the company for manufactured products
    Identifying process changes/improvements
    Training/coaching employees in accordance with welding procedures and assessment/appraisal of welders
    Management of audit system related to weld quality & internal auditing
    5S Champion – Providing guidance, training, assessment to members of staff 
    Support NPI welding and product manufacture procedure activity
    Set, operate and maintain the MIG and TIG machines and related tools and equipment.
    MIG Welding with mild steel 
    Read and interpret engineering drawings in order to lay out a welding project. 

    The Ideal Candidate:

    CSWIP Certification 3.1 minimum preferred.
    Experience within a fabrication welding business
    Be able to weld as well as train and inspect
    Working Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO (phone number removed) & 5817
    Working Knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel
    Methodical and precise.
    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels.
    Exceptional organisational skills
