How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Role: Primary Teacher

Contract Duration: Sept 2026 - July 2027 (full academic year)

    Salary: MPS/UPS

    Location: Lewisham, London

    Ofsted: Outstanding

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Primary Teacher (KS2) to join our friendly, supportive team at a two-form entry primary school in Lewisham, joining a thriving multi-academy trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact in a small, nurturing school with a close-knit community. The role is a full-time, fixed-term position starting in September 2026, with the opportunity to work with a small KS2 class and a Teaching Assistant to support their learning.

    Primary Teacher Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that align with the National Curriculum for Upper Key Stage 2.
Develop engaging and differentiated learning activities that challenge and support all students in reaching their full potential.
Work closely with the Teaching Assistant to ensure tailored support for students, especially those with additional learning needs.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents on academic achievements and development.
Lead, guide, and motivate Key Stage 2 pupils, ensuring they are well-prepared for their transition to secondary school.
Collaborate with the wider staff team and leadership to ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the school.

    Key Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2 or a desire to teach it.
Excellent behaviour management techniques with a good sense of humour.
Experience working in a primary school setting, preferably within a one-form entry school environment.
The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
Passionate about supporting children's development both academically and socially.

    What We Offer

A supportive, small-school environment within a multi-academy trust, with a strong sense of community and shared values.
A small class size, allowing you to focus on individual student needs and create a personalized learning experience.
A dedicated Teaching Assistant to support you in delivering high-quality teaching and managing the classroom effectively.
Ongoing professional development opportunities as part of a larger multi-academy trust.

    How to Apply

If you are an inspiring and dedicated Primary Teacher who is passionate about helping students achieve their potential, we would love to hear from you.
