MACHINE OPERATOR

Full Time | Manufacturing | Rotational Day and Night Shifts

We are currently recruiting for Machine Operators to join a well established manufacturing team in Livingston.

This is a hands on role within a fast paced production environment, operating reel to reel coating machines, metallisers and inspection equipment. If you enjoy working with machinery, take pride in producing quality work, and want to build long term skills within manufacturing, this could be an excellent opportunity.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

Operating coating, metallising and inspection machinery
Conducting pre start checks, machine set up, changeovers, cleaning and shutdown
Carrying out in process and final quality checks
Identifying and isolating non conforming material and supporting corrective action processes
Supplying raw materials and consumables to machineryYou will work safely at all times, complying with company policies, PPE requirements and all site safety procedures.

What We Are Looking For

We would ideally be looking for candidates from a production, manufacturing and or print background with a strong focus on quality.

You should have:

Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
Exposure to high speed machinery
A strong understanding of health and safety
Excellent attention to detail
The ability to follow SOPs and maintain consistent quality standards
A flexible and adaptable approachExperience within environments involving solvents or technically controlled processes would be advantageous.

Shift Pattern

This role operates a rotating day and night pattern:

Night shift: Monday to Wednesday, 6.00pm to 6.00am
Early shift: Monday to Wednesday, 6.00am to 6.00pm
Thursday early shift: 6.00am to 2.00pmFlexibility is required regarding working days. For example, shifts may occasionally move from Monday to Wednesday to Tuesday to Thursday or Friday depending on business needs.

Salary and Benefits

Starting salary: Aprox £30000
33 days holiday per annum
