About the Role
We are seeking a Quality Control Operative to join our busy Distribution Centre team. In this hands-on, fast-paced role, you will ensure that all incoming and outgoing stock complies with stringent quality and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct intake checks on product accuracy, quality, traceability, and shelf-life
* Perform stock inventory quality checks and counting
* Unload vehicles using FLT/PPT and assist with loading operations
* Maintain clean and safe warehouse areas, including cardboard baling and pallet stacking
* Report product shortages, defects, or non-conformances to management promptly
* Complete daily, weekly, and monthly quality control and operational checks
* Verify production pre-release quality and label accuracy
* Ensure correct stock rotation, adhering to Best Before and Use By dates
* Support other warehouse departments as required
Requirements
* Experience in a warehouse or distribution centre role with quality control or assurance responsibilities
* Physically fit and capable of managing manual handling tasks
* FLT licence advantageous
* Strong English literacy skills
* High personal and food hygiene standards
* Flexible and willing to undertake other reasonable duties
* Computer literate with stock management experience
* Team player who can also work independently and use initiative
