How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Project & Programme Administrator
    Permanent | Gateshead | £28,000

Do you thrive in a fast-paced project environment where organisation, coordination, and communication are key? Are you confident managing schedules, tracking resources, and keeping multiple stakeholders aligned?

An established and growing organisation based in Gateshead is looking to appoint a proactive and detail-focused Project & Programme Administrator on a permanent basis. This is a pivotal support role working across multiple programmes, ensuring projects are accurately planned, resourced, and delivered in line with client expectations.

    The Role

This is a hands-on coordination role supporting project managers and operational teams across several live workstreams. You’ll play a key part in maintaining programme plans, managing labour schedules, supporting reporting, and ensuring documentation and compliance processes are up to date.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Maintaining and updating project schedules, key milestones, and programme trackers

    * Supporting weekly and long-range labour planning across multiple projects

    * Preparing and issuing labour requirement communications

    * Attending internal resource and planning meetings

    * Managing change requests and ensuring documentation is accurately recorded

    * Coordinating client reporting and supporting progress update meetings

    * Issuing completion documentation and maintaining clear project records

    * Supporting document control processes and compliance checks

    * Assisting with project setup on internal systems

    * Recording and tracking purchase orders and operational documentation

    What We’re Looking For
You’ll be an organised and confident project support professional who enjoys working across multiple teams and keeping programmes on track.

    You’ll bring:

    * Previous experience in project administration, programme coordination, or project support

    * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Projects

    * Experience maintaining Gantt charts, trackers, and labour schedules

    * Confidence attending and contributing to internal and client meetings

    * Excellent organisational and time management skills

    * Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams

    * High attention to detail and a proactive approach

Experience within a technical, engineering, infrastructure, or similar project-led environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

    What’s on Offer
    Salary circa £28,000

    * Permanent, full-time position

    * Opportunity to work across varied and fast-moving programmes

    * Supportive and collaborative working environment

    * Gateshead-based role (office-based)

If you’re looking for a role where you can take ownership of programme coordination and genuinely contribute to successful project delivery, we’d love to hear from you.
