How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Offline CNC Programmer
    Poole
    £44,800 to £49,800 per year
     
    As an Offline CNC Programmer, you’ll focus on creating and optimising CNC programmes offline for 3, 4, and 5-axis machines, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and readiness for production. This Offline CNC Programmer role goes beyond programming alone — you’ll be involved in process development, tooling strategy, and improving overall manufacturing performance. The successful Offline CNC Programmer will play a key role in reducing costs, improving yield, and supporting delivery targets, all while working closely with engineering, quality, and production teams.
     
    Key responsibilities:

    Create and develop CNC programmes offline for 3, 4, and 5-axis machine tools
    Produce tool definitions, setup sheets, and tooling plans
    Prove out programmes and support transition into production
    Develop and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality
    Define production routings, tooling, work holding, and inspection requirements
    Collaborate with quality teams to ensure inspection plans are met
    Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
    Contribute to new product introduction and lifecycle planningEssential skills:

    Proven experience as an Offline CNC Programmer
    Strong background in CNC machining (milling and turning)
    Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
    Experience with CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360 or similar preferred)
    Knowledge of multi-axis machining and tooling strategies
    Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    Confident communicator across teams and departmentsDesirable experience:

    Background in aerospace or operating to AS9100 standards
    Experience within a precision engineering environment
    Green Belt or continuous improvement training
    Project management experience
    Exposure to new product introduction (NPI) processesBenefits:
