How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Example Recruitment Group Ltd is working in partnership with a leading provider of compliance and energy services across the UK. With a strong presence in the social housing sector, our client delivers high-quality heating, electrical, and renewable solutions, offering long-term contracts, job security, and genuine career progression.

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to support the installation and wiring of domestic heating systems.

    The Role

    You will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations for new heating systems, including all associated controls. The role requires strong fault-finding skills and experience working with S/Y plan systems.

    Key responsibilities:

    * Install wiring for heating systems in line with BS7671 regulations

    * Carry out fault finding on existing systems and components (e.g. pumps, valves)

    * Modify and install wiring for S/Y plan heating systems

    * Produce Electrical Minor Works Certificates in line with regulatory standards

    * Maintain high standards of health & safety at all times

    * Keep up to date with industry regulations, standards, and best practices

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you will have:

    * City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)

    * City & Guilds 18th Edition (2382)

    * Strong knowledge of UK domestic heating systems and wiring

    * Proven experience in electrical installation and fault finding

    * Full UK Driving Licence
