How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Workshop Controller

    📍 Guildford
    💰 £39,000 – £50,000 OTE (Dependent on experience)

    About the Role

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Controller to join a busy and successful dealership in Guildford. This is a pivotal role within the Aftersales team, responsible for driving workshop efficiency, maintaining high standards of workmanship, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

    This opportunity would suit an experienced Workshop Controller or a Senior/Master Technician ready to step into a leadership role.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

    Efficiently allocate work to maximise technician productivity and workshop output

    *

    Monitor and drive workshop efficiency, utilisation, and overall performance

    *

    Maintain strict quality control procedures

    *

    Ensure work is completed within agreed timeframes

    *

    Work closely with Service Advisors to manage workflow and customer expectations

    *

    Oversee warranty processes and manufacturer compliance

    *

    Support technician development and training

    *

    Maintain high standards of health & safety

    Requirements

    *

    Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician, or Workshop Team Leader

    *

    Strong technical knowledge and understanding of dealership workshop processes

    *

    Experience within a franchised dealership environment (preferred)

    *

    Proven ability to drive productivity and meet KPIs

    *

    Excellent communication and leadership skills

    *

    Full UK Driving Licence
