How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are looking for a Control Panel Wireman to join a growing industrial controls and automation team. This role is hands-on, focusing on wiring, assembling, and testing industrial control panels. The ideal candidate will have experience working with low-voltage control systems and industrial automation components.

    Key Responsibilities for Control Panel Wireman

    * Wire and assemble control circuits according to schematics.

    * Route, terminate, and crimp cables, including lugs and connectors.

    * Connect VFDs, relays, contactors, and PLC terminals.

    * Work with PLCs, HMIs, terminal blocks, control transformers, and safety circuits.

    * Apply knowledge of electrical panel wiring and LV switchgear principles.

    * Assist with panel build, testing, and commissioning preparation.

    * Ensure work meets BS 7671 / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and company quality standards.

    Required Skills & Experience for Control Panel Wireman

    Essential:

    * Experience in industrial control panel wiring and assembly.

    * Ability to work from schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical drawings.

    * Experience with LV switchgear, VFDs, PLCs, relays, and contactors.

    * Understanding of control circuits and safety systems.

    * Knowledge of crimping, lugs, cable routing, and terminations.

    * Electrical training or apprenticeship preferred (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).

    * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Desirable:

    * Experience with PLC/HMI installation.

    * Experience working on industrial automation or instrumentation projects.

    * Familiarity with international control panel standards.
