The HLTA role:
ANZUK Education is looking for capable and motivated individuals to take on a Higher Level Teaching Assistant position, playing a key role within the classroom environment. This post involves stepping in to lead lessons across KS1 and/or KS2 when needed, assisting with planning, and actively supporting the delivery of education. Key Responsibilities of a HLTA:
* Take responsibility for delivering prepared lessons to Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) classes in the teacher's absence
* Support students' learning while helping to organise and set up classroom activities
* Lead and manage small group sessions with pupils of varying abilities
* Adhere to and uphold all school policies and procedures
* Communicate progress and provide regular updates to staff and parents
The ideal HLTA will:
* Have at least six months' practical experience working with children in a school or similar setting
* Possess an Enhanced DBS check, meeting safeguarding requirements
* Have the legal right to work in the UK with valid documentation
* Show strong communication and people skills, with the ability to connect with learners of different needs
* Demonstrate understanding, patience, and a commitment to supporting all pupils, including those with SEN and SEMH needs
* Work well as part of a team, contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
