How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: KS3 & KS4 Classroom Teacher
    Location: Rainham, Essex/Havering
    Pay Range: £150 – £165 per day (PAYE or Umbrella)
    Contract Type: Daily Supply / Long-Term / Temporary (Full-Time)

    Our partner schools in Rainham are known for their clear behaviour systems and supportive leadership, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment, often with a significantly reduced planning and assessment workload.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Flexible Delivery: Deliver pre-planned lessons (for supply) or develop engaging schemes of work (for long-term roles) across KS3 and KS4.

    * Classroom Management: Maintain high expectations for pupil behaviour and engagement.

    * Adaptability: Tailor your teaching approach to meet the needs of different classes and subject areas.

    * Safeguarding: Follow school-specific safeguarding and reporting procedures at all times.

    * Community Building: Forge positive connections with students and staff across local Rainham school settings.

    The Ideal Candidate Will:

    * Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK-recognised qualification (essential).

    * Be a confident ECT or an experienced secondary teacher.

    * Demonstrate strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4.

    * Show an exemplary commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children.

    * Possess a proactive and collaborative approach to school life.
