ANZUK Education is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team in Kingswood, South Gloucestershire and nearby areas. With growing demand in local schools, we are looking for dependable and motivated Teaching Assistants for both day-to-day and long-term opportunities.
The Teaching Assistant Role:
Teaching Assistants work alongside teachers and pupils to foster a supportive and engaging learning environment. Roles in Kingswood may involve supporting whole classes under the guidance of the class teacher, as well as delivering targeted support for pupils with SEND and SEMH needs in small groups or on a one-to-one basis. The aim is to ensure every child feels safe, included, and able to thrive.
Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
* Support the delivery of engaging lessons that inspire and motivate pupils across KS1 and KS2
* Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels respected and encouraged to learn
* Apply effective behaviour management strategies tailored to the needs of primary-aged children
* Demonstrate strong communication skills and contribute to a well-managed and productive classroom
* Engage with the wider school community and build positive relationships with staff and pupils
The Ideal Teaching Assistant will:
* Hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one through anzuk
* Have experience supporting primary-aged children, with a good understanding of their learning needs
* Possess knowledge of SEND and the ability to adapt support strategies accordingly
* Hold a valid Right to Work in the UK
