About the Role
PK Education are working with secondary schools in Barnsley who are seeking confident and motivated individuals to work as Unqualified Teachers. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to step into teaching and gain hands-on classroom experience without needing formal teaching qualifications.
In this role, you will take responsibility for leading lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering pre-prepared work in the absence of teaching staff. You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning and ensuring students remain engaged and on task throughout the school day.
This position is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to build classroom confidence and develop their skillset within education.
The Role
Leading lessons across a range of subjects using pre-set materials provided by teaching staff. Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive and structured learning environment. Supporting students to stay engaged and complete their work. Building strong, professional relationships with pupils and staff. Providing feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
What We’re Looking For
A confident individual with a strong presence in the classroom. Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive, adaptable, and professional approach. A genuine interest in education and a desire to progress into teaching. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
