Kitchen Porter

We are recruiting a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join the catering team at an asylum seekers' accommodation site based at Crowborough Training Camp. This is a busy, fast‑paced environment where you'll support kitchen operations, maintain hygiene standards, and contribute to a smooth-running service.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting chefs with basic food preparation
Washing pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Maintaining clean and organised kitchen and service areas
Operating dishwashers and cleaning machinery safely
Managing waste and recycling
Assisting with deliveries, stock rotation, and storage
Adhering to all food hygiene, health & safety, and site compliance requirementsAbout You

Previous kitchen or cleaning experience is helpful but not essential
Able to work on your feet for extended periods
Positive, reliable, and team‑orientated
Comfortable working in a busy, structured environmentShifts

Typically 10 hours per shift
Standard pattern: 12:00 - 20:00
Some flexibility may be required depending on operational needsDBS Requirement

A DBS check is required for this position.
If you do not already hold a valid DBS, we can apply for one on your behalf during onboarding.

Crowborough Training Camp is located on the outskirts of Crowborough.

Limited direct public transport, so having your own transport is highly beneficial
Some bus services operate nearby, but may not match shift times
