This position is not just about CAD/CAM capability in isolation. They're looking for someone with strong, proven experience in helping production run better, who is comfortable operating in a live manufacturing environment and taking ownership of outcomes on the shop floor.
The role is specifically to:
* Help set up and embed offline programming as a core way of working
* Improve the current structure and discipline within both milling and turning
* Reduce machine downtime caused by on-machine programming
* Standardise tooling, programs, and processes
* Work closely with operators, setters, and production to improve throughput, efficiency, and OTIF
We are looking for someone who:
* Has already worked in a dedicated offline programming role within a production environment (Fusion 360 preferred)
* Understands the realities of delivery pressure, missing tooling, and machine constraints
* Is hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable being on the shop floor
* Wants to build and improve a system, not just generate program
