The team is seeking a passionate and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join them on a short-term basis, with the potential for this to develop into a long-term role for the right person.
The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will be working closely with students aged 4–19 with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, SLD, PMLD, and communication difficulties. You’ll support pupils both 1:1 and in small groups, helping to create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment where every learner can thrive.
The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will:
✅ Be patient, calm, and empathetic in all interactions
✅ Be open to learning and committed to making a positive impact on pupils’ lives
✅ Be confident supporting children with additional or complex needs
✅ Be willing to assist with personal care and moving & handling when required
✅ Build strong relationships with pupils, promoting trust and independence
✅ Driving is highly desirable due to the location and nature of the role
✅ Experience in an education or care setting is a bonus, but not essential
