How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Due to continued growth, Hales Group are delighted to be supporting a fantastic client in Attleborough who are seeking a Production Technician to join their friendly team.
     
    This small but busy friendly company has a strong order book and a supportive partner, offering great training. They're looking for someone with production floor experience, confidence working with control panels and PLCs, and the initiative to suggest improvements. If you're ready to grow your skills within a positive and proactive team, this could be the role for you!
     
    Salary: £30,000 Per annum
     
    Hours: 8.00 - 5.00 Monday - Thursday (1/2-hour unpaid break) 
    8.00 - 2.30 Friday (1/2-hour unpaid break)
     
    Role and Responsibility

    Mechanical and electrical assembly of Test Rig machines and sub-assemblies used within the aerospace industry
    Working from CAD drawings and work instructions
    Wiring of control panels and cabinets
    Ability to work independently or as part of a small team
    Work within the requirements of the company's Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
    Always promoting safety and continuous improvement within the production facility
    Periodic travel to customers for onsite service and support  
    Skills / Qualifications / Experience

    HNC or apprenticeship in Mechanical / Electrical engineering
    Experience in a manufacturing environment of machine assembly and testing
    Ability to understand CAD drawings and written instructions
    Strong attention to detail
    Good understanding of electrical, pneumatic system assembly
    Knowledge and safe operation of workshop machinery including, Pedestal Drill, Press and hand tools
    Computer literacy, maintaining records and following procedures
    Confident communication skills, both verbal and written
