Marketing Operations Manager

About the Role
The Marketing Operations Manager (POS Focus) is responsible for driving best-in-class management, innovation, and governance of Point of Sale (POS) materials across the C&C brand portfolio. This role acts as the primary point of contact for all POS-related activities, ensuring streamlined processes, strong supplier partnerships, and effective inventory management. The role champions continuous improvement in POS strategy, compliance, and sustainability while maximising commercial impact.
Role can be based in Glasgow, Dublin or Bristol and offers Hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the main point of contact (POC) for all handling houses, suppliers, and partners involved in POS, including leading tenders as required, across all GB, NI & ROI operations.
* Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs), particularly with partners such as Staci, and our key glassware and merchandise supplier.
* Lead POS forecasting and inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and efficient run rates.
* Partner with procurement on POS purchasing, innovation, and supplier evaluations.
* Oversee end-to-end POS processes including raising POs, monitoring spend, and quarterly finance meetings.
* Set up and manage monthly POS surgeries to improve operational efficiency and address issues.
* Review and innovate current and new POS materials to enhance effectiveness and sustainability.
* Ensure full compliance with ESG pillars and Portman/Drink Aware guidelines.
* Oversee responsible destruction of obsolete POS.
* Act as the POC for brand activation managers and collaborate across brand units, channels, commercial excellence, finance, procurement, operations, and the wine team.
* Facilitate alignment and communication to ensure effective POS deployment and usage.
About you
You’ll bring experience in POS management, procurement, or marketing operations, with a proven ability to manage suppliers and spot opportunities to improve processes. You’re organised, commercially minded, and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders to keep things running smoothly.
Experience in the food or drinks industry would be an advantage, but it’s not essential. You’ll ideally have a relevant qualification in marketing, business, or supply chain, and have a strong understanding of compliance requirements, including ESG and Portman guidelines. You’re curious, proactive, and keen to develop your skills while making a real impact.
