Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced MEP Buyer to join their Central London team on an initial 6-month freelance contract, with a genuine opportunity for extension or permanent employment.

The Role
As MEP Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery teams through effective procurement of mechanical and electrical materials and packages. Working closely with commercial and project teams, you will ensure best value, compliance, and timely supply across multiple live schemes.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Procuring MEP materials and subcontract packages in line with project requirements
* Negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms
* Managing supplier relationships and performance
* Supporting commercial teams with procurement strategy and cost planning
* Ensuring compliance with company procedures and project specifications
* Monitoring market trends and supply chain risks
Requirements
* Proven experience as an MEP Buyer within an M&E contractor or main contractor environment
* Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical materials and supply chains
* Experience working on commercial, residential, or public sector projects
* Strong negotiation and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple packages across fast-paced projects
* Familiarity with procurement software and standard contract forms
