How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Junior Developer (SQL Focus)

    Our client is looking for a motivated Junior Developer to join their growing Integrations team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your technical skills while contributing to systems that support essential public services used by communities every day.

    What you’ll be doing
    * Supporting the development and testing of SQL-based automations for key workflows
    * Writing and maintaining SQL queries, stored procedures, and scheduled jobs
    * Investigating and resolving data-related issues
    * Updating and maintaining HTML templates for automated communications
    * Assisting with workflow improvements and service optimisation
    * Contributing to documentation, version control, and best practices
    * Participating in team meetings, code reviews, and training sessions
    * Supporting testing and quality assurance to ensure reliable outputs
    What we’re looking for
    * Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
    * Familiarity with HTML
    * A genuine interest in automation, data, and development
    * Strong willingness to learn and grow within a technical team
    Desirable (but not essential):
    * A degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field
    * Exposure to tools like SSIS, Power Automate, or similar
    * Interest in languages such as Python or JavaScript
    * Awareness of Agile methodologies or version control (e.g. Git)
