How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Deputy Manager

    Wetherby, West Yorkshire, 5 days over 7 daytime, Permanent role, £30-33,000, 33 days holiday, staff discounts, qualifications available, + bonus, free parking,

    Following yet another successful year our client is recruiting for a deputy manager to assist the Catering manager in the running of multiple cafés at this popular venue.

    This is a great working environment, with a loyal and collaborative management team.

    As a Deputy Catering Manager you will have a really varied role and you will adapt to meet seasonal requirements and changing daily demands:

    Checking in with hospitality team leaders and restaurant supervisors
    Communicating with kitchen team
    Stock management and delivery co-ordination
    Administration duties including ensuring efficiency and compliance
    Problem solving from cleaning and minor repairs to customer service
    Mentoring and motivating the catering team

    As the successful Deputy Catering Manager you will have leadership skills and enjoy coaching and mentoring your catering team. You will have an eye for detail, excellent customer service skills and an understanding of the hospitality or tourism industry.

    This would be an ideal role if you thrive in busy environments and love delighting customers.
