How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    HLTA / Early Years Practitioner - Reception (EYFS)

    Full-Time | ASAP Start | Long-Term | £100-£115 per day PAYE

    Tradewind Recruitment is working with a mainstream primary school in Southall to recruit an experienced HLTA or Early Years Practitioner to support a Reception class with several pupils who have key SEN needs. This is a full-time, long-term role, starting from February half term, and is ideal for someone looking for stability and consistency in a well-supported EYFS setting.

    The school is seeking a committed and experienced practitioner who is confident supporting young children with varying needs and contributing positively to a busy Reception classroom.

    About the School

    The school is a well-organised mainstream primary with a strong EYFS team and clear routines in place. The Reception provision is well staffed and structured, providing a supportive environment for both pupils and adults.

    The school offers:

    A Reception class with a class teacher and two additional adults
    Clear behaviour expectations and strong routines across EYFS
    Supportive senior leadership and an experienced SEN team
    On-site parking
    Excellent transport links, including being within a 10-minute walk of the Elizabeth Line

    The Role

    As an HLTA / Early Years Practitioner in Reception, you will:

    Support learning and development across the EYFS curriculum
    Work with pupils with a range of SEN needs within the classroom setting
    Provide small group and individual support as required
    Support classroom routines, transitions and behaviour management
    Help create a calm, inclusive and engaging learning environment
    Work closely with the class teacher and other support staff
    Contribute to observations and pupil progress where appropriateThis is a general classroom support role, not a 1:1 position, and requires confidence managing groups of children in a busy EYFS setting.

    Requirements

    The school is looking for someone who:

    Has strong EYFS classroom experience
    Is confident supporting children with additional needs
    Demonstrates good classroom and behaviour management
    Is reliable, consistent and able to commit long term
    Works well as part of a team
    Holds a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (preferred)HLTAs or experienced Early Years Practitioners are encouraged to apply.

    Pay and Contract

    £100-£115 per day PAYE, negotiable based on experience and qualifications
    Full-time, Monday to Friday
    Long-term role starting ASAP
