Overview:

Our client design and install material handling machinery and equipment and this exciting opportunity is critical for their continued international growth and development. We are inviting applications from CAD Technicians with a range of experience from engineering design graduates to experienced 3D engineering design technicians.

The role:

Part of a team of engineering cad technicians, you will be using 2D and 3D Inventor to create or modify complex designs similar to those found within mining, processing and motor driven systems. This includes mechanical components, mechanical assemblies, structural steelwork drawings and BOMs.

This position is key to the success of the business and works hand in hand with other teams and so close liaison is required with sales, production, site installation etc to resolve issues in house and occasionally on site.

Requirements:

It is essential that applicants have a minimum of HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline along with 3D CAD, Autodesk Inventor is preferred but other similar 3D CAD packages will be considered e.g. SolidWorks, Solid Edge etc. You will also need knowledge of mechanical and structural engineering, manufacturing processes and a positive, can-do attitude.

As well as a salary of c.£35k depending on skills, abilities and experience, the CAD technicians, can expect:

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday: 8am – 5pm, finishing at 4.30pm on Fridays.
