Job Description:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Combi Lift Truck Driver to join the busy warehouse and yard operation at Van Leeuwen’s Middlesbrough site. The Combi Lift Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe handling, movement, and storage of long and heavy steel products in line with site procedures and health & safety standards.
As a Combi Lift Truck Driver, you will operate combi lift equipment to load and unload deliveries, support goods-in and goods-out activities, and ensure materials are positioned accurately within designated storage areas. You will work closely with warehouse, logistics, and production teams to maintain smooth and efficient daily operations.
The successful Combi Lift Truck Driver will demonstrate a strong safety-first mindset, excellent equipment handling skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role offers stability and long-term opportunity for a reliable and skilled operator.
Skills & Experience:
We are ideally looking for the following in a Combi Lift Truck Driver:
* Valid Combi Lift Truck Licence or FLT Licence (essential)
* Proven experience operating a combi lift or similar equipment – side loader/reach truck
* Experience handling long, heavy, or bulky steel products
* Strong understanding of warehouse health & safety procedures
* Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
* Reliable, punctual, and team-focused approach
* Ability to work independently and follow operational instructions accurately
* Experience operating in high-rise cantilever racking and storage environments
* Use of handheld scanners is desirable
