Advising on repair and maintenance of traditional and historic buildings, including sourcing specialist materials
Preparing and submitting Listed Building Consent applications and liaising with planning authorities
Managing refurbishment and adaptation projects for heritage properties, ensuring compliance with RICS and conservation standards
Undertaking general building surveying tasks such as dilapidations, schedules of condition, and contract administration
Working closely with clients, architects, and contractors to deliver tailored solutions that respect historical integrity while meeting modern requirements This role offers a clear progression route toward 100% heritage and conservation work, supported by structured training and mentorship.
    What you'll need to succeed

A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
Strong interest in heritage and conservation, ideally with some practical experience or RICS Historic Building Professional certification (desirable)
Excellent technical knowledge of building pathology and traditional construction methods
    Strong communication and client-facing skills
Ability to manage projects and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Working toward MRICS or recently chartered status
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site inspections

    What you'll get in return

A unique opportunity to specialise in heritage and conservation, with a clear pathway to becoming a sector expert
Exposure to prestigious projects, including listed buildings and culturally significant sites
Full support for APC and CPD, including conservation-focused training
A flexible, modern working environment with hybrid options
    Competitive salary and benefits package
The chance to join a consultancy that values innovation, sustainability, and client care
